Applications for financial assistance from For the Children, Inc., are available here and also in local physician offices, hospitals, schools and welfare offices. To speak to someone directly about the process, you can call our main number 406-862-8146 or Joan Paulson at 406-253-1999.
For individuals or families in financial need, funds are available to obtain services beyond the scope of ordinary medical care. The distribution of funds shall be seen as supplemental assistance that will ensure that no child or their family will be denied access to available care.
Funding is not intended to pay for direct medical services or treatment, but rather to assist with related areas not covered by insurance, other agencies, or service organizations. To establish the severity of need and avoid duplication of funding sources, each case is reviewed individually.
An initial expenditure limit of $3,000.00 is allowed per applicant. Those funds may cover such things as transportation, special equipment, food, and lodging for the patient or appropriate family members.
